PTA was OK, but the previous were better. Ultra, Exciter... excellent stuff, all without Wilder.

And PTA sounds horrible. Everything sounds too much compressed and dirty. Besides that, the songs are nice. I mean, look for another band with such a long career in the music business, and still able to bring something fresh-sounding...

I really have to agree with you on PTA, though. There is a point where you can't turn the speakers up any louder because the sound is just so dirty that it actually hurts. I also want to know what the FUCK Gore was thinking when he wrote Macro and then recorded it. My friends and I have this theory that it was one of those points where Gahan and Fletch couldn't talk him out of it. Lord, what an embarrassing track.
What I'm really interested in is the new album they're recording. For once, Martin didn't have to be co-erced/forced/bribed to write songs (as on Exciter). God knows what the man has to write about anymore with his pretty young girlfriend and stay-at-home father status. We'll see...
